Contango

Can you explain or put a more detailed description of the Contango feature? I know what Contango is, but it's not really clear on what the info is showing or more importantly how to use it. The Help section is of no use. e.g. 'Length = Length of chart' is so obvious it's almost facetious.

Hi Nick, first chart shows difference between expiration months in %. F1 is first expiration month, F2 second etc. So today, for example for corn, F1 is K, F2 is N (this changes if you go to past or days will come). When K will expire, then F1 will be N and F2 U. So in chart you can see how contango was between two nearest expiration months.

Second chart is histogram. It takes same data, splits them into intervals and counts number days which fall to intervals. So you can see for example how many days had contango close to 0. Histogram is just another interpretation of data, where you can better see structure of contango. Vertical line is current day, so you can see if you are close to usual contango or in some extreme.
